[Nyclocal] [LEC-NYC] Help Out at the left forum

Greg (and members of the NYC Local, and Shaun, and Eric),

I do not want to get involved with the relations between the SP member in
Chicago who is pretty much
the new Local there. I am a personal friend of Eric Schuster and Bill Pelz,
I know the Chicago Socialist
Party is active, alive, and well, and regret the problems between folks in
Chicago and the National SP.

Eric will be staying at my place (God help him - it is a mess) during the
Left Forum. He'll be here
for an informal meeting with anyone who wants to come by Friday night - it
can't run very late as I
have to be on the SP's Panel at 10 a.m. Saturday morning. This informal
session is not to discuss
whatever problems exist between the Chicago Socialist Party and the National
SP. Yes, I wish
the NC could work this out, but I don't even want to get into it!!! I am
concerned that folks have
a chance to meet Eric, to talk about what the Chicago Socialist Party is
doing about Chicago issues
- NOT about the conflict with the National SP.

And I hope we can have some discussion about broader socialist issues, NOT
involving the
internal politics of the SP.

I'm at 60 East Fourth St., #11, fourth floor, between Bowery and Second
Ave. - just four blocks
South of Cooper Union. Press buzzer 11.

Fraternally,
David McReynolds
