NYC peace groups and activists are planning a weekend of coordinated antiwar actions and events to protest the s= tart of the 5th year of the Iraq War. As the culmination of a weekend= of actions, we are planning a nonviolent mass civil disobedience to take over Wall Street and converge on the New York Stock Exchange, a symbol and organizing center of = the greed driving our country on a path of war.

We need your energy,= creativity, solidarity and commitment to take another step in bringing the= power of the people of New York City against the war machine. = =20

The plan is to assemble at Vietnam Vets Memorial at 55 Water Street, where a press conference will be held. Small groups will then meander throu= gh the Wall Street area carrying banners, signs and artwork denouncing the war profiteers, converging on the Stock Exchange around somewhat before 9:00 AM for a non-violent civil disobedience focusing attention on the economic forces=97war profiteering, corporate greed, and oil plunder=97that= ultimately drive our involvement in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The March 19 Peace Actions Coalition= Wall Street Working Group has consensed on the following Nonviolen= ce Guidelines for their action:For the purpose of building trust and a common foundation for safety, and ensure that we act in the spirit of nonviolence, participants in the action agree to the following:
* Our attitude will be one of openness and respect towar= d people we encounter.
* We will not use physical violence or verbal abuse towa= rd any person.
* We will not damage any property.
* We will not bring or use any alcohol or drugs other th= an for medical purposes.
* We will not carry weapons.

Meet at 3 pm on the corner of Atlantic and Flatbush Avenues

(B,D,M,N,Q,R,2,3,4,5 to Atlantic Avenue or Pacific Street)

The march will proceed to the Armed Services Recruitment Center at 41
Flatbush Avenue.

On the fourth anniversary of the Iraq war people all over the city
will hit the streets in protest. As anarchists we will target the
recruitment engine of the war machine, which makes false promises to
those with the least so that they will fight a war for those with the
most.

Bring your joy, outrage, and desire to see this war over. Bring
noisemakers, drums, costumes, and a vision of a different future. Bring your songs, skits, pranks and signs. Bring your parents, kids, friends, and neighbors.

Hundreds of thousands of Iraqis and thousands of Americans dead and
counting. Come tell your local recruiters how you feel about it.
