Tuesday, May 2nd @ 7PM - Free Screening: Michael Zweig "Meeting Face to Face" This documentary breaks through the static that keeps Iraqi and labor perspectives out of the debate about the war, bringing the voices of Iraqi working people directly into the conversation about the continuing occupation and what the next steps should be. According to Congresswoman McKinney, "Every worker in America needs to see this film," which demonstrates how American working people are bringing new energy and commitment to the movement for peace, social justice, and a humane foreign policy. at: BLUESTOCKINGS 172 Allen Street @ Stanton (1 block south of Houston) 212.777.6028 www.bluestockings.com You will not be turned away from an event at Bluestockings for lack of $

LIBERTARIAN BOOK CLUB/ANARCHIST FORUM: 'ETHNIC CLEANSING AND SLAVERY IN CONTEMPORARY AFRICA' The May Anarchist Forum On Tuesday, May 9, at 7:30pm, the Libertarian Book Club's Anarchist Forum will present a panel discussing Ethnic Cleansing and Slavery in Contemporary Africa with emphasis on Mauritania, Sudan and Darfur. The panel will include Abdarahmane Wone and Mamadou Barry, members of FLAM (African Liberation Front of Mauritania), and other African activists. They will describe the frightening situations in North Africa as they really are.
